Mission Statement:

The Youth Activities Center (YAC) is a safe, nurturing place that offers after-school and summer programs for youth from low-income families, YAC offers educational and recreational programs, and provides supervised assistance with homework.  The Center also emphasizes family values, social skills, conflict resolution and self-sufficiency.

YAC is a safe, nurturing after-school center for those families requiring affordable care.

Since incorporating in 1993, the Youth Activities Center has offered well-supervised after-school and summer programs to enrich the lives of the children.  High-quality child care is offered according to the family’s budget.

Champs Program

An innovative academic enrichment program that utilizes a curriculum that supports an increase in the academic learning of children. The program blends school content into a non-formal, experimental, hands-on afterschool friendly approach. The Champs program helps bridge learning from the school day into the afterschool program.
